Every theme has a handful of brand new cards that can only be found in Marvel Super Heroes Jumpstart packs, usually somewhere in the range of three to seven. These cards use the MSC set code, which means they aren’t legal in Magic’s Standard format, but can be played in “Eternal” formats like Commander. (Of course, that legality doesn’t matter if you are only ever going to use these cards as part of Jumpstart!)

Similarly, there are 62 existing cards from past sets that have been reprinted with the MSC set code here, which doesn’t change where they could already be played. That includes simple classics with new art, like Lightning Bolt being channeled by Thor, as well as straight reprints with the same art from last year’s Spider-Man set. There are also a couple unexpected reprints, like the notorious combo card Doomsday, which leaves just five cards in your library to set up a win with something like the brand new “Doctor Doom, Unrivaled” in the DOOM theme pack.

You can take a look at all of the reprints that are only available in these Jumpstart packs here:

There are more cards that just the ones we’ve shared here in each theme pack, including new cards from the Marvel Super Heroes Beginner Box, reprints from the Welcome Decks, cards from the main set, and so on. Some of those show up in multiple themes as well, so it’s a lot to keep track of across all the different options!

Marvel Super Heroes isn’t far off, with tabletop prerelease events starting on June 19 before it arrives on MTG Arena digitally on June 23 and then finally hits full paper release on June 26. We’ve got more info on its four Commander decks in case that’s more your speed, and will surely have more coverage as we get closer to its debut.
